FILM CRITICISMS

Image created using Bitstrips
I quit reviewing films and so I will not publish my ratings and opinions on a specific film. I realized that I am in no position to judge the work of artists who risk so much, regardless of the outcome of their work. I should know better because I am a writer myself. There are real artists and there are “salespeople” masquerading as artists but time will always be the final determiner. For true artists, the act of creation is not a whim; it is a compulsion. Creation is like turning yourself inside out because something compels you. Sometimes, you do not even care if you have an audience. Some people call this compulsion “the muse;” others call it “the tyranny of art.”

I will still publish essays on film criticism but not film reviews; however, only if I discover a revelatory film or a run-of-mill film with meanings that most viewers fail to see. For now, thank you.

Au revoir my readers!

He has also slept with some filmmakers and thespians for research purposes, but he is sworn to secrecy.  I am just kidding, that is not true. I only took one film criticism class.
