Vocabulary 1: Cooking Verbs
A. Wash: to clean food with water (French: laver)
B. Chop: to cut food into small pieces (French: hacher)
C. Slice: to cut food into thin pieces (French: couper en tranches)
D. Peel: to remove the outer skin of food (French: éplucher)
E. Grate: to rub food into very small pieces (French: râper)
F. Mix: to combine ingredients together (French: mélanger)
G. Toss: to gently mix food with a sauce or dressing (French: mélanger délicatement avec une sauce ou une vinaigrette)
H. Drizzle: to pour a small amount of liquid over food (French: verser un filet de liquide sur un aliment)
