Topic: “Memory” (B2)

Vocabulary

1. Comes in – se présenter ,  以某种方式出现, 특정 방식으로 나타나다, 特定の形で現れる(Appear or be classified in a particular way). Example: “"The shirt comes in three styles." (La chemise se présente en trois styles.) (这件衬衫有三种风格。)( 셔츠는 가지 스타일로 나옵니다.)(そのシャツは三つのスタイルがあります。)

2. Hang onto
– tenir fermement, 紧紧抓住, 잡다, しっかり持つ. (Hold tightly; keep something secure). Example: “Hang onto your hat in the wind.” (Tiens bien ton chapeau dans le vent.) (在风中紧紧抓住你的帽子。) (바람에 모자를 잡아.) (風の中で帽子をしっかり持って。)

3. Jot down
– noter, 记下, 간단히 적다, 書き留める. (Write quickly or briefly). Example: “I need to jot down my ideas quickly.” (Je dois noter mes idées rapidement.) (我需要快速记下我的想法。) (나는 아이디어를 빨리 간단히 적어야 .) (私はアイデアをすぐに書き留める必要があります。)

4. Hold onto – garder, 抓住, 붙잡다, しっかり持つ. (Keep or retain something firmly). Example: “Hold onto your dreams and don’t give up.” (Tiens à tes rêves et ne renonce pas.) (抓住你的梦想,不要放弃。) (꿈을 붙잡고 포기하지 .) (夢をしっかり持ち、諦めないでください。)

5. Stressed out – stressé, 压力大, 스트레스를 받는, ストレスが溜まっている. (Feeling anxious or overwhelmed). Example: “She feels stressed out before exams.” (Elle se sent stressée avant les examens.) (她在考试前感到压力大。) (그녀는 시험 전에 스트레스를 받는다.) (彼女は試験の前にストレスが溜まっています。)

6. Double-edged sword – arme à double tranchant, 双刃剑, 양날의 , 二刀流の剣. (Something that has both positive and negative effects). Example: “Social media is a double-edged sword.” (Les médias sociaux sont une arme à double tranchant.) (社交媒体是一把双刃剑。) (소셜 미디어는 양날의 검이다.) (ソーシャルメディアは二刀流の剣です。)
