Vocabulary 1
A. Thrilling – passionnant (Very
exciting and full of suspense). Example: “The thrilling movie kept us on the
edge of our seats.” (Le film passionnant nous a tenus en haleine.)
B. Massive screen – écran géant. (Very
large display for viewing images or videos). Example: “We watched the game on a
massive screen at the bar.” (Nous avons regardé le match sur un écran géant au bar.) Q: Have you ever watched a movie in a
massive screen? Was it better or just the same as a regular size screen? –
C. Streaming services – services de
streaming. (Platforms for watching videos online). Example: “Streaming services let us watch movies at home.” (Les services
de streaming nous permettent de regarder des films à la maison.) Q: What do you think of streaming services
like Netflix? Is it better than going to the cinema?
D. Affordable – abordable. (Reasonably
priced and not too expensive). Example: “This shop sells affordable clothes for

your city cheap, expensive or affordable? What is your opinion? –
E. From the comfort of our own space – dans le confort de notre propre espace. (Relaxing at

F. Vary – varier.
(To be different in size, amount, or type). Example: “Prices vary from one

G. Genres – genres.
(Types or categories, especially in art or media).Example: “She enjoys
different genres of music.” (Elle aime différents genres de musique.) Q: What is your favorite genres (kinds,
types) of movie? Why? –
H. Fans – fans.
(People who admire a sport, art, person, or activity). Example: “The fans
cheered loudly for their team.” (Les fans ont acclamé leur équipe avec enthousiasme.) Q: Who are you a big fan of? Why?

I. Blockbuster releases – sorties à
