LESSON: GENERAL ENGLISH
Topic: “Cinema (Movies)”

Vocabulary
A. Thrilling – passionnant, 刺激的, 스릴 있는, スリリング. (Very exciting and full of suspense).

Example: “The thrilling movie kept us on the edge of our seats.”
(Le film passionnant nous a tenus en haleine.)
(这部刺激的电影让我们坐立不安。)
( 스릴 있는 영화는 우리를 긴장하게 만들었다.)
(そのスリリングな映画は私たちを釘付けにした。)

B. Massive screen
– écran géant, 大屏幕, 대형 화면, 巨大なスクリーン. (Very large display for viewing images or videos).

Example: “We watched the game on a massive screen at the bar.”
(Nous avons regardé le match sur un écran géant au bar.)
(们在酒吧的大屏幕上观看了比赛。)
(우리는 바에서 대형 화면으로 경기를 보았다.)
(バーで巨大なスクリーンで試合を観戦しました。)

C. Streaming services
– services de streaming, 流媒体服务, 스트리밍 서비스, ストリーミングサービス. (Platforms for watching videos online).

Example: “Streaming services let us watch movies at home.”
(Les services de streaming nous permettent de regarder des films à la maison.)
(流媒体服务让我们在家看电影。)
(스트리밍 서비스로 집에서 영화를 있습니다.)
(ストリーミングサービスで家で映画を観られます。)

D. Affordable
– abordable, 负担得起的, 가격이 적당한, 手頃な. (Reasonably priced and not too expensive).

Example: “This shop sells affordable clothes for everyone.”
(Ce magasin vend des vêtements abordables pour tout le monde.)
(这家商店为每个人出售负担得起的衣服。)
( 가게는 모두가 있는 저렴한 옷을 팝니다.)
(この店では誰でも買える手頃な服を売っています。)

E. From the comfort of our own space
– dans le confort de notre propre espace, 在我们自己的空间里舒适地, 우리 자신의 공간에서 편안하게, 自分の空間で快適に. (Relaxing at home or familiar surroundings).

Example: “We joined the meeting from the comfort of our own space.”
(Nous avons rejoint la réunion dans le confort de notre propre espace.)
(们在自己舒适的空间里加入了会议。)
(우리 자신의 공간에서 회의에 참여했습니다.)
(自分の空間で快適に会議に参加しました。)

F. Vary
– varier, 变化, 다르다, 異なる. (To be different in size, amount, or type).

Example: “Prices vary from one store to another.”
(Les prix varient d'un magasin à l'autre.)
(价格因商店而异。)
(가격은 가게마다 다릅니다.)
(価格は店舗によって異なります。)

G. Genres
– genres, 类型, 장르, ジャンル. (Types or categories, especially in art or media).

Example: “She enjoys different genres of music.”
(Elle aime différents genres de musique.)
(她喜欢不同类型的音乐。)
(그녀는 다양한 장르의 음악을 즐깁니다.)
(彼女はさまざまな音楽ジャンルが好きです。)

H. Fans
– fans, 粉丝, 팬, ファン. (People who admire a sport, art, person, or activity).

Example: “The fans cheered loudly for their team.”
(Les fans ont acclamé leur équipe avec enthousiasme.)
(丝们为他们的球队大声欢呼。)
(팬들은 그들의 팀을 크게 응원했습니다.)
(ファンたちはチームに大声で声援を送りました。)

I. Blockbuster releases
– sorties à succès, 大片上映, 블록버스터 개봉, 大ヒット映画の公開. (Movies or shows expected to be very popular).

Example: “Blockbuster releases attract large audiences every year.”
(Les sorties à succès attirent un large public chaque année.)
(大片上映每年都吸引大量观众。)
(블록버스터 개봉은 매년 많은 관객을 끌어들입니다.)
(大ヒット映画の公開は毎年多くの観客を引き付けます。)

J. Stunts
– cascades, 特技, 스턴트, スタント. (Daring physical actions in movies or sports).

Example: “The action movie had impressive stunts.”
(Le film d'action avait des cascades impressionnantes.)
(这部动作片有令人印象深刻的特技。)
( 액션 영화에는 인상적인 스턴트가 포함되어 있었다.)
(そのアクション映画には見事なスタントがあった。)

K. Differ
– différer, 不同, 다르다, 異なる. (To be different in some way).

Example: “Our opinions differ on this subject.”
(Nos opinions diffèrent sur ce sujet.)
(们的意见在这个问题上有所不同。)
(우리는 문제에 대한 의견이 다릅니다.)
(この件に関して意見が異なります。)

L. Mirror
(verb) – refléter, 镜像, 반영하다, 反映する. (To show or represent something accurately).

Example: “The painting mirrors her love for nature.”
(Le tableau reflète son amour pour la nature.)
(这幅画反映了她对自然的热爱。)
( 그림은 그녀의 자연에 대한 사랑을 반영합니다.)
(その絵は彼女の自然への愛を反映しています。)

M. Opens up doors
– ouvre des portes, 打开大门, 문을 열다, 扉を開く. (Creates new opportunities).

Example: “Education opens up doors to better careers.”
(L'éducation ouvre des portes à de meilleures carrières.)
(教育为更好的职业打开了大门。)
(교육은 나은 경력의 문을 엽니다.)
(教育はより良いキャリアへの扉を開きます。)

O. Diverse
– divers, 多样的, 다양한, 多様な. (Showing a wide variety of types).

Example: “Our community is home to diverse cultures.”
(Notre communauté abrite des cultures diverses.)
(们的社区是多元文化的家园。)
(우리 커뮤니티는 다양한 문화를 포함하고 있습니다.)
(私たちのコミュニティは多様な文化を持っています。)
