Guide Question:What
are the challenges in working with international colleagues? Explain each one.
PART1: Working with people from different countries has some challenges. One problem is the various accents, which can be hard to understand. When someone does not understand my English, I repeat the message in a simpler way. Sometimes I write it in the chat or send an email. I try to use easier words or give an example. If it’s still not clear, I ask someone else to help. Another issue is time zones, which make it more difficult to plan meetings. To manage time zone differences, our team writes notes and plans handovers. For example, if my Indian colleague starts later, I leave a message with updates. Then they continue the work during their shift. (115 words)
PART 2: To build good communication, I speak slowly and clearly. I ask questions to check if we understand each other. I also talk about simple things like the weather or holidays. This helps create a friendly relationship, not just a work connection. We also have different styles of communication. Some people speak very fast, and others are more formal. I try to adapt. If I don’t understand, I ask questions. I also try to be polite and clear. Everyone in the team tries to be patient and work well together. (89 words)
